Happy Happy New Year

Well, it's officially the first day of 2008. Wow, as you get older the celebration that usually accompanies the changing of the calendar is not nearly as dramatic. We had Bill and Viv over for dinner last night - for steak and crab legs, and prawns and totally yummy goodness all around! It was fabulous - very nice and relaxing evening at home. Kane got spoiled and had some chocolate before dinner, ate a little dinner and then the little monster got some chocolate birthday cake! Of course, I missed the actual candle blowing out, but at least I got some good eatin' pics. This one is priceless.... after picking up his whole piece of cake on the end of his fork above, the inevitable occurred - the cake dropped, but our little caveman could not be deterred so easily from his cake....




So of course, he enjoyed his little cake, and then the bath with lots of Thomas the train bubble bath. Even with all the excitement though he went to bed fairly easily. A couple more years, and he'll be up until midnight I'm sure.

Well, I'm tired, tired, tired - so I'm heading off to the couch for a little TV and then heading to bed. Gotta go back to work tomorrow and will need my rest for the adjustment and to be able to deal with a brand new co-worker. {sigh} I'm going to miss Al - it'll be very strange to not have him in the office.
